WWE star ends 8-Year wait as Michin and B-Fab win Women’s Tag Team Championship on October 23 SmackDown
Michin and B-Fab captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the October 23 episode of SmackDown at Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, with Michin ending an eight-year wait for her first WWE title.
The episode featured multiple high-profile matches, including Chelsea Green defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez, Giulia facing Blake Monroe in a Street Fight, and Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley defending the Women’s Tag Team titles against Michin and B-Fab. The men’s division included a six-man tag pitting Sami Zayn, Ricky Saints, and Johnny Gargano against Trick Williams, Penta, and Rey Fenix, while a scheduled bout between MFTs and Bakusai was cut short by an early disqualification. Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley had won the Women’s Tag Team Championship just prior to the Money in the Bank 2026 PLE.
In the tag title match, B-Fab opened against Alexa Bliss, striking first with a sliding clothesline and pressing for a quick pin before Bliss escaped and regrouped with Tatum Paxley. Bliss and Paxley worked to seize control, combining offence to shift the momentum back in the champions’ favour.
Paxley followed with a moonsault to the outside and Bliss hit a crossbody as Michin and B-Fab struggled to regain footing. The turning point came with the referee distracted at ringside and Jade Cargill, who had been supporting Michin and B-Fab, striking Paxley; Michin then executed the Styles Clash and scored the three-count to win the titles.
The victory ended Bliss and Paxley’s 14-day reign and delivered a first WWE championship to both Michin and B-Fab. For Michin, the result was her first title since her in-ring debut in 2017 in the Mae Young Classic tournament; she later signed with WWE in 2018 after that appearance.
Michin reacted to the win in the ring, posting: "So thankful to achieve this in my hometown. It’s still so surreal omg.. being able to have my family witness this live in the stands… thank you, oppa for wrestling me when we were kids. You planted this nugget of an insane dream. I love you, 909. Fontana’s Finest 💙#wwe…" The pairing’s alliance with Jade Cargill and the interference that decided the match leave Bliss and Paxley with grounds to demand a rematch.
On the same show, Trick Williams, Penta, and Rey Fenix emerged victorious against Sami Zayn, Ricky Saints, and Johnny Gargano in a six-man tag team match.
Friday Night SmackDown will return on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center in Charleston, West Virginia.
