WWE is weighing whether to relocate Crown Jewel 2026, scheduled for November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after attacks at King Khalid International Airport raised security concerns. The company promoted champion-versus-champion matches on the October 12 episode of Monday Night Raw while continuing to advertise the event for Riyadh.

On Raw the Stamford-based promotion announced Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn and Liv Morgan vs Chelsea Green as title-versus-title matches for Crown Jewel. Despite that promotion, advisories from government authorities and ongoing attacks in the region have created uncertainty around the Riyadh staging. WWE has held recurring events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, a relationship noted amid the current debate over the November show.

On October 9 Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported that the likelihood of holding Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia had become an intense conversation inside the company. In the days that followed there were additional reports of attacks at the airport and the US Embassy in Riyadh issued a warning telling American citizens to stay away from the airport and vicinity, citing potential flight cancellations, airspace closure and other disruptions. Those developments complicated logistics and the decision to send WWE Superstars and personnel to Saudi Arabia.

On October 13 False Finish reported WWE was discussing the Premium Live Event with the US government and said the decision now rested with TKO officials and Ari Emanuel. TRNBCKL later reported the PLE was set to move out of Riyadh, although that outlet said no new location had been confirmed. As of October 14 WWE had not announced any relocation and the company continued to list Crown Jewel for November 7 in Riyadh.

Contrasting accounts followed: Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer subsequently reported Riyadh remained the plan while a backup city in the United States was on the table. Sean Ross Sapp wrote that relocation rumours were false, and PWInsider published that a WWE source denied the company had locked in a backup location in Europe. These reports reflected differing internal and external assessments of the situation.

Saudi Arabia is also scheduled to host WrestleMania 43 in 2027, which has been described in reporting as the first WrestleMania intended to be held outside North America, although promotion dates for that event have not been announced. That future commitment has been referenced in coverage of WWE’s longer-term plans in the region.

A final determination on Crown Jewel’s venue will be made after WWE receives affirmation from the private security firm it contracts with that is described as an expert in the region; until such confirmation the event remains scheduled for November 7 in Riyadh, and no official relocation has been declared as of October 14.
