WWE x AAA Worlds Collide expected to stream live on YouTube amid broadcast uncertainty

WWE and AAA’s Worlds Collide is scheduled for Saturday at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, and sources currently expect the show to stream live on YouTube; WWE has not officially announced a platform. The event runs opposite AEW’s All Out, which is taking place the same day and at the same time.

All Out was announced before Worlds Collide, a timing that some fans have interpreted as counter-programming. Earlier reports suggested the WWE x AAA card might instead be held for a later release on YouTube or Club WWE. AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio has confirmed the lineup for the event. Questions have persisted about whether the show will be broadcast live.

Journalist Andrew Baydala posted an update saying those he spoke with expected a live YouTube stream. He wrote: "A quick update on Worlds Collide- those I spoke with yesterday and today are under the impression the show will air LIVE on YouTube. Obviously things can change but, that is the current direction and distribution of that show on Saturday. #WWE #AEW pic.twitter.com/y0IIS77R9E"

John "JBL" Layfield, who is scheduled to provide commentary, said on Something To Wrestle that he would not be attending in person and that the event would be called after it takes place. “I’m not going to be there. We’re going to call it post fact,” JBL said, adding that announcers were not being brought in. When asked where the show would stream, he said he did not know and recalled being told several weeks earlier that commentary would probably be recorded the following week; he added the plans may have changed since then.

Those remarks from JBL indicate the broadcast arrangements were not settled even for personnel attached to the show. While the current expectation reported by sources is a live stream on YouTube, the distribution plan remains subject to change.

WWE has yet to make an official announcement on how Worlds Collide will be shown, and plans could still change before the weekend as the event proceeds on Saturday at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
