Yash Dayal applies for NOC from UPCA to join Chhattisgarh fitness camp

Yash Dayal has applied to the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association for a no-objection certificate to change his domestic allegiance and is due to join the Chhattisgarh squad’s fitness camp next month. The UPCA is currently considering his NOC request.

A right-arm pacer by trade, Dayal has been part of the Uttar Pradesh setup in domestic cricket from 2018 to 2025. His application seeks permission to move his registration to Chhattisgarh ahead of the fitness period, a step that would complete the administrative side of the transfer should the UPCA grant the clearance.

The move was confirmed through the formal NOC application lodged with the state body, signalling Dayal’s intention to link up with the new side’s preparatory programme. He will attend the Chhattisgarh team’s fitness camp next month once the paperwork is resolved.

UPCA officials are reviewing the details of the request as part of their standard procedure and have the authority to approve or withhold the clearance. No final decision has been announced while the association examines the application.

Dayal referred to the personal role the sport has played during challenging periods in his life, saying, "cricket helped him stay strong through difficult challenges." The comment underlined the personal importance of the game as he seeks a fresh environment.

Throughout his stint with Uttar Pradesh from 2018 to 2025, Dayal established himself as a domestic pacer, and the proposed switch to Chhattisgarh would mark the next chapter in his career. The outcome of the UPCA’s consideration will determine whether he can officially join the new camp as planned next month.

The player’s relocation remains contingent on the issuance of the NOC by the UPCA, and if approved, Dayal is set to begin with Chhattisgarh’s fitness programme in the coming month.
