2026 US Open to award record $5.5m to singles champions
Organisers of the 2026 US Open announced on August 20, 2026 that the tournament will offer a record $108 million in player compensation, with singles champions to receive $5.5 million each.
First-round losers will receive a record $140,000.
A new player support program and a Grand Slam Player Council were also announced; the initiative aims to strengthen financial support and player involvement in tournament decisions.
