BCCI names Muthoot FinCorp title sponsor for India home cricket until March 2028

The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced on Saturday, September 26 that Muthoot FinCorp has been appointed title sponsor for India home cricket in a deal running until March 2028.

The agreement covers all international series and tournaments played in India as well as domestic competitions organised by the BCCI, the board said. The association extends beyond the men's and women's senior teams to include India A, India B, age-group teams and other designated teams. Major domestic tournaments listed under the partnership include the Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup, Duleep Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, Deodhar Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The board said the tie-up will provide Muthoot FinCorp exposure across India's national teams and the domestic pathway that feeds into them.

Muthoot FinCorp takes over the title sponsorship from IDFC First Bank, whose partnership with the BCCI ended in August 2026. Apollo Tyres will remain the lead sponsor of the Indian cricket teams; Apollo Tyres became Team India's lead sponsor in 2025 after replacing Dream11, and its agreement runs until March 2028. The BCCI's current sponsorship portfolio also lists Campa, SBI Life and ChatGPT as associate sponsors.

Muthoot FinCorp Joint Managing Director Thomas George Muthoot issued a statement on the deal, saying: "Muthoot FinCorp's association with BCCI reflects our commitment to supporting Indian cricket across national and domestic platforms," he said.

BCCI President Mithun Manhas commented on the partnership in a separate statement, saying: "Indian cricket's home season brings together the national teams, domestic competitions and players at different stages of their journey. Muthoot FinCorp's association as Title Sponsor reflects the strength and reach of Indian cricket and the connection it has with people across the country," the former cricketer said. "There is also a natural connect between the two brands, with Muthoot FinCorp's distinctive blue coming together with the Men and Women in Blue of Indian cricket. We are pleased to welcome Muthoot FinCorp to the BCCI family and look forward to building a strong association over the coming seasons."

The BCCI said the partnership will begin with India's first ODI against the West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, the board announced on Saturday, September 26.
