Bengaluru FC will host SC Delhi in the opening match of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with kickoff scheduled for 5:00 PM IST. The season opener is part of the MG ISL 2026-27 launch and will be available to viewers in India on Sony Sports Network, SonyLIV and YouTube.

The ISL returns after a shortened 2025-26 campaign, with organisers announcing a full, seven-month schedule for 2026-27 that features home-and-away fixtures and a concentration of marquee ties on weekends. Reports accompanying the launch also said new broadcast systems will be introduced for this edition. The previous season’s mid-campaign cessation drew criticism of the competition’s delivery, a backdrop to this restarted campaign.

Bengaluru arrive into the fixture as 2018 ISL champions and having finished fourth in the last completed ISL season. Sporting Club Delhi are the newest side in the competition, having made their debut last season and also taken part in the Durand Cup 2026, where they produced what the coverage described as decent performances. SC Delhi’s head coach Tomasz Tchorz stated ahead of the match: "Nobody is unbeatable".

Delhi’s squad construction features Indian players such as Hnamte and Asutosh Mehta alongside a number of overseas signings; their management has framed the coming season as an opportunity to grow the club’s profile and fan engagement. Bengaluru will field their first-match squad at home in front of their supporters, with the club and coverage noting the expected morale boost of a home opener.

Broadcast arrangements for the ISL 2026-27 season have been specified in full: Sony Sports Network, SonyLIV and YouTube will carry the opener, while the entire campaign will be streamed live and free on YouTube. SonyLIV is scheduled to carry all 163 matches in India, and Sony Sports Network and SonyLIV will offer commentary in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Bengali, with Malayalam commentary for Kerala Blasters fixtures, Tamil for Chennaiyin FC games, and Bengali for East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant matches.

Bengaluru FC will host Sporting Club Delhi on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, with the match set to kick off at 5:00 PM IST. Fans in India can watch the ISL 2026-27 season opener live on Sony Sports Network, SonyLIV and YouTube.
