Chelsea accept Spurs bids for Mudryk and Adarabioyo as Sanchez set for Como loan
Chelsea have accepted offers from Tottenham Hotspur for Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo and a bid from Italian club Como for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, the club announced on 31 August 2026, with all three players expected to leave Stamford Bridge subject to agreeing personal terms.
Mykhailo Mudryk, 25, is a primary target for Spurs who want to reunite him with Roberto de Zerbi; Mudryk has not played a competitive match since November 2024 after serving a suspension following an adverse finding for the banned substance meldonium and has been eligible to football since July. He previously worked under De Zerbi at Shakhtar Donetsk before joining Chelsea for an initial 70m euros (£61m) in January 2023.
Tottenham will also sign defender Tosin Adarabioyo, 28, on a permanent basis, with the move intended to replace Kevin Danso, who is set to join Sunderland on an initial loan. Those changes form part of Spurs’ defensive reshuffle as Chelsea clear space in their squad.
Italian side Como, who earlier in the transfer window signed Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea for £31m, have agreed a season-long loan for Robert Sanchez. Sanchez, 28, was made available for loan or permanent transfer after two mistakes in Chelsea's opening Premier League match at Fulham led to the Blues conceding twice.
Chelsea have brought in Argentine Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa for £7.5m as the replacement behind the posts following Sanchez being made available. The Martinez signing was finalised after the errors that prompted Chelsea to consider options for the goalkeeping position.
There remains uncertainty over the future of Enzo Fernandez, who is attracting interest from Manchester City though no formal offer has been made; any departure would be dependent on Chelsea strengthening their squad and receiving a substantial fee, having previously valued him at £120m.
