Ex-India star questions timing of Sooryavanshi's England debut

An ex-India star questioned the timing of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's India debut in England, saying "You told Sooryavanshi to serve water", after the teenager earned a maiden call-up following an outstanding IPL 2026 season.
Sooryavanshi was named to the squads for tours of Ireland and England but did not play in Ireland, and was handed his debut in England after Sanju Samson struggled with the bat.
He scored 14, 13 and 15 in the three T20Is he played before being left out of the fifth and final match.
