Fans report 10-15 minute tape delay for WWE Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh

On November 7, 2026, WWE held Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and viewers reported the televised broadcast lagged behind the live action by roughly 10-15 minutes during the Premium Live Event.

The show had been uncertain for weeks amid Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabian airports, but WWE proceeded with the scheduled event after top TKO officials said they had monitored the situation for weeks and deemed it safe to hold the show. WWE sent only a limited production crew to Riyadh while other production elements were managed from the company’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

Fan-shot videos circulated online showing the broadcast trailing the in-arena action; on one occasion the telecast displayed Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton making their entrances while the two were already exchanging blows at ringside. The account False Finish posted that "The delay is due to the minimal crew in Riyadh. It allows the production to run smoothly from Stamford. – @FalseFinishHQ" and multiple social-media posts claimed the Crown Jewel telecast was "airing on a 10-15 minute tape delay."

The show opened with a Last Man Standing match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, former members of Legacy. Rhodes busted Orton open and finished the encounter with a punt kick; Orton was unable to answer the count of ten and Rhodes was declared the winner of the Last Man Standing match.

Je’Von Evans and Penta challenged Austin Theory and Oba Femi for the WWE World Tag Team Championships later on the card. Bronson Reed ran interference and attacked the challengers, but Oba Femi returned and dropped Reed with a slam from the entrance ramp. Evans and Penta took advantage of the sequence and outlasted Theory and Breakker to become the new WWE World Tag Team Champions.

The next WWE Premium Live Event after Crown Jewel is Survivor Series: WarGames, scheduled for November 28, 2026, in Houston, Texas.
