Giulia appears injured after loss to Blake Monroe on October 2 WWE SmackDown; finish listed in rundown

Giulia appeared to be injured following her loss to Blake Monroe on the October 2 edition of WWE SmackDown, and medical staff attended her after the broadcast. Fightful reporter Corey Brennan said the finishing sequence and Giulia being helped to the back were listed in the show's rundown.

Blake Monroe’s ongoing psychological warfare and backstage presence were cited as distractions for the former Women’s US Champion during the match. The report also states that Lash Legend successfully pinned her to secure a spot in the MITB ladder match. Late in the contest Giulia attempted a Superplex that Monroe impeded; Giulia landed headfirst on the turnbuckles and dropped awkwardly to the mat before being quickly pinned.

After the broadcast ended, SmackDown officials checked on Giulia and called for medical assistance as doctors rushed to the ring; she initially appeared motionless and later regained consciousness. When she stood she did so with the help of doctors and was supported to the back by WWE medical staff and officials for further attention. The crowd gave her a standing ovation for her efforts.

A social-media clip circulated showing the immediate aftermath at ringside: "Giulia may have suffered an injury during her match against Blake Monroe.Post-match, she was helped to the back by ringside staff.(Via: X/LIV4MEL)#SmackDown #WWE pic.twitter.com/NDnmP84v0x"

Corey Brennan of Fightful posted that: "The finish for Giulia vs Blake Monroe, as well as Giulia being helped to the back post match, was all listed in the rundown for tonight's show. There was an additional backstage segment listed between the pair that did not feature on the show. https://t.co/2QyFhOJ3nd" The report states the former Women’s US Champion’s injury was kayfabe and that she was selling the injury.

WWE’s official social channels also posted a video in which Monroe mocked Giulia while she was being helped by medical staff; after that clip Giulia dropped Monroe with a headbutt. The post-match exchange was described in coverage as "signalling that the feud is far from over between the two stars."

The combination of the listed finish, the unaired backstage segment referenced by Fightful and the WWE social clip underscores that the encounter was presented as a continuing storyline, with the post-match headbutt signalling the feud between Giulia and Blake Monroe remains active.
