Hampshire romp past Surrey to reach Women’s One-Day Cup final

Hampshire defeated Surrey by 194 runs at the Utilita Bowl in the Women's One-Day Cup semi-final on 16 September 2026, booking a place in the final.

Maia Bouchier scored an unbeaten 117 as Hampshire posted 303-5 from 50 overs, following her 118 against The Blaze, and the side reached the final for the second consecutive season. Bouchier has hit three centuries in September and leads the competition with 721 runs in 11 innings, while Hampshire piled up their total with century stands involving Freya Kemp and Abi Norgrove.

Hampshire's innings produced three big contributions: Bouchier 117*, Freya Kemp 77 and Abi Norgrove 60 as the hosts finished 303-5. Kemp's 77 came off 63 balls in a 110-run partnership with Bouchier, and Norgrove added 60 in a 109-run stand before being run out off the last ball of the innings.

Bouchier, who was given a life on 62, reached her fifth hundred of 2026 and has accumulated 423 runs in five innings for Hampshire and England, taking her season total to 1,680 runs. The 117 not out continued her rich run of form in the competition and helped set a 304 target for Surrey.

Surrey's reply never recovered from the chase; they were dismissed for 109 in 27.3 overs with Rachel King top-scoring on 34. Daisy Gibb removed Sophia Dunkley early, then spin took control as Sune Luus holed out, Jemima Spence was bowled advancing, Phoebe Franklin was caught, Alice Davidson-Richards edged to slip, King was run out, and Ryana Macdonald-Gay and Alice Monaghan were bowled.

Australia's Amanda-Jade Wellington finished with 5-19 and completed her second five-wicket haul of the competition, taking her 2026 tally to 37 wickets after having Kira Chathli stumped to end the innings. The 304 target on a good but tired pitch was described as always looking a tough ask.

Hampshire will meet The Blaze in the final on Saturday at the Utilita Bowl, aiming to overturn last season's result against Lancashire in the competition.
