Heart of Midlothian agree £1.7m sale of Alexandros Kyziridis to unnamed Turkish club

On 9 August 2026, Heart of Midlothian agreed a deal to sell Greece winger Alexandros Kyziridis to an unnamed Turkish club for a fee of around £1.7m. The club announced the agreement after a period in which Kyziridis had been linked with a move throughout the summer.

Kyziridis, 25, joined the Tynecastle club last summer from Slovakian outfit Zemplin Michalovce, signing a three-year contract. He impressed early at Hearts under head coach Derek McInnes as a key attacking player as they went close to clinching a historic league title. Over the summer he attracted interest from a number of clubs.

He scored six goals and recorded 11 assists in 42 appearances for Hearts. He made his international debut in a friendly against Italy this summer. Those numbers reflect his role in the side's attacking output.

After Sunday's 4-0 win over Dundee United, Hearts head coach Wouter Vrancken told BBC Scotland: "The club accepted a bid." "I wish him all the best because he's a great player and also a great person."

Under Hearts' data-orientated recruitment partner Jamestown Analytics, Josh McPake and Calvin Miller have been signed in a similar position this summer. Calvin Miller has played a prominent role in the early part of this season. The club have supplemented their squad depth in the areas Kyziridis occupied.

Kyziridis played in Lisbon against Benfica last week. He will now travel to Turkey to finalise his move.
