IND v WI: Third T20I in Indore on Sunday, series level 1-1

India and West Indies will meet in the third T20I at Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday, with the match scheduled to start at 7 PM IST.

The two sides enter the decider level at 1-1 after contrasting results in the opening fixtures: India posted a comprehensive win in the first game but were unable to defend a total of 249 in the second T20I, when West Indies reached 252 to complete the chase. West Indies' 252 chase was the second-highest successful pursuit in T20I history, and both teams will be aiming to take the series lead in the third match.

Captain Shai Hope was the chief architect of the West Indies' successful chase in the second game, scoring an unbeaten 102 off 43 balls, with six fours and nine sixes, and registering the third century in the last four international innings.

Sherfane Rutherford complemented Hope with his own big score, recording his consecutive half-century by making 84 off 37 balls, including seven fours and seven sixes.

India must reassess their approach after conceding a match-winning chase, with the report noting that playing several all-rounders has not helped their cause; the West Indies attack was described as a weaker bowling unit. The contest outcome is likely to be influenced by the toss.
