India and Pakistan will meet at the Dubai International Stadium on September 5 in the Women's Asia Cup 2026 after tournament fixtures were revealed on Thursday, August 6. The match is one of the group-stage fixtures scheduled to be played under lights at 6:30 pm local time.

The Asia Cup will begin on August 28 with Thailand facing Hong Kong China, and the competition will be staged in a T20I format for the sixth edition. Group A contains India, Pakistan, Thailand and Hong Kong China, while Group B comprises Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE and Indonesia. India’s opening game is set for August 30 against Thailand, and all matches in Dubai will start at 6:30 pm local time.

The knockout phase is scheduled with semi-finals on September 10 and 11 and the final on September 13. All knockout matches will also be played in Dubai under the same evening start time. The fixtures place the group-stage matches, semi-finals and final within a compact window across August and September.

India enter the tournament aiming to win an eighth Women's Asia Cup title. The schedule gives India group matches against Thailand and Hong Kong China before the high-profile meeting with Pakistan.

Pakistan have yet to win the Asia Cup and previously lost finals to India in 2012 and 2016. In editions of the tournament played in the T20I format, Pakistan have beaten India only once, that victory coming in 2022.

In a recent meeting at the Women's T20 World Cup this year, India defeated Pakistan by 64 runs in a group game, a result the source described as continuing India’s winning momentum against the arch-rivals.
