India and Pakistan to meet in Asian Games 2026 men's cricket final in Nisshin; Sony Sports to show live in India

India and Pakistan will contest the Asian Games 2026 men’s cricket final in Nisshin on Saturday, October 3, with the match to be shown live in India by the Sony Sports Network.
India enter the gold medal match as the defending champions and remain unbeaten in the tournament. Their quarter-final against Afghanistan was abandoned because of rain, and India progressed to the semi-finals on the basis of their higher ranking. In the semi-final Shreyas Iyer’s side posted 169/7 and then bowled Sri Lanka out for 45, securing a 124-run victory.
Pakistan reached the final after defeating Bangladesh by six wickets in their semi-final. The two sides will meet for the gold medal at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, continuing a long history of India–Pakistan encounters in T20 cricket.
Sony Sports Network will carry the match in India, with the fixture available on Sony Sports 1. Hindi commentary will be provided on Sony Sports 3, while Sony Sports 4 will offer regional language coverage, including Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
The final is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM IST on October 3, with the toss planned for 9:30 AM IST at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin.
India will attempt to defend the gold medal they secured at the 2023 Asian Games when they take on Pakistan in Saturday’s final.
