India's athletes are scheduled to compete on Day 14, October 3, at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, with Saturday marking the final day of the edition. The programme for the day includes both medal events and classification matches.

After 13 days of competition, the Games have reached their concluding phase and India have delivered a campaign with notable performances across several sports. The contingent fell short of the 100-medal total recorded at the previous Hangzhou edition but secured medals in events where they were not regarded as clear favourites.

On Friday, Indian competitors added to the haul with archery producing a gold and a silver, boxing contributing a gold, and sailing and sepak takraw each bringing home bronze medals.

As of Friday, India had amassed 76 medals in total — 16 gold, 25 silver and 35 bronzes.

India sit fifth in the overall medal standings with a count listed as 15 gold, 25 silver and 35 bronze. The Games are due to conclude with the closing ceremony on October 4.

India have a final opportunity to increase their medal total on Saturday, with medal chances in archery, cricket, golf, hockey, taekwondo and wrestling, while Indian athletes will also compete in rugby and volleyball classification matches.
