Kaif predicts Sooryavanshi will replace Tilak Varma or Shivam Dube in ‘six months’

Mohammad Kaif said in a Times of India report published on September 24, 2026 that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi would replace Tilak Varma or Shivam Dube in India’s T20I lineup in “six months”.
Kaif said Sooryavanshi’s impressive performances could create a tough selection issue for India, with either Tilak Varma or Shivam Dube potentially left out of the T20I side.
He added that Sooryavanshi’s stellar statistics in T20Is and the IPL work in his favour for a place in the first-choice team.
