Odisha levelled twice through Mahmoud Eid (51’) and Everton (79’) but were unable to prevent the Mariners taking all three points.

The contest produced no goals in the first half after an early chance saw Lee Erwin denied by Odisha goalkeeper Hrithik Tiwari inside the opening minute. Mohun Bagan sustained pressure from the outset while Odisha sought to threaten on the break, and the match opened up after the interval with five goals coming in the second half.

Mohun Bagan broke the deadlock two minutes after the restart when Anirudh Thapa played a through ball to Dejan Drazic; Drazic used his dribbling to get past defenders and slotted a left‑footed effort into the bottom corner in the 47th minute. Odisha responded in the 51st minute when Nihal Sudhish’s cross found Mahmoud Eid, who converted past Vishal Kaith to make it 1-1.

Drazic restored Mohun Bagan’s lead in the 74th minute after Lallianzuala Chhangte beat his marker and delivered a low cross that Drazic turned in to complete his brace. Odisha drew level again in the 79th minute when Mehtab’s clearance took a deflection off Tekcham Abhishek Singh and fell for Everton, who curled a right‑footed finish into the net.

With the score at 2-2, Lee Erwin produced the matchwinner in the 87th minute, unleashing a right‑footed strike into the bottom‑left corner that beat Hrithik Tiwari and secured a 3-2 victory for Mohun Bagan Super Giant.
