Lisandro Martinez criticised Manchester United’s hierarchy after their 2-0 Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid on October 14, 2026.
Wayne Rooney branded the defender’s public remarks “disrespectful” to teammates, questioned his motives and suggested the club take action.
Former United player Ashley Young agreed recruitment must improve but insisted players must perform with the squad they have.
