Modern Warfare 4 prestige rewards: Classic and Regular paths explained

On 24 October 2026, Activision and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launched a returning prestige rewards system that gives players new incentives to progress beyond the maximum rank. The game includes a Regular Prestige option allowing progression without resetting unlocks and a Classic Prestige route that grants the full reward set.

Each Prestige contains five milestone checkpoints with rewards unlocked at Levels 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50. Players receive prestige emblems, loading screens, charms, decals and other cosmetic items as they level through each Prestige rank. Regular Prestige preserves a player’s existing unlocks while Classic Prestige resets progression in order to grant every available reward.

Players who choose Classic Prestige can obtain the complete reward package; those who do not select Classic will miss out on several exclusive "Prime" variants. It does not matter which Prestige path is chosen for earning emblems, loading screens and other standard cosmetics—those items are unlocked by continuing to level through Prestige ranks.

The majority of Modern Warfare 4 loading screens feature earlier Call of Duty titles, including Call of Duty (2003), Call of Duty 2, Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Ghosts, Infinite Warfare, Modern Warfare (2019), Modern Warfare II (2022) and Modern Warfare 4.

Modern Warfare 4 offers 10 Prestige levels before players advance into Prestige Master and Prestige Legend progression. Players can reach Prestige 10 and then continue through Prestige Master up to Prestige Legend at Level 1,000, with Classic and Regular paths determining whether progression is reset or unlocks are retained and whether the full set of cosmetics, including "Prime" variants, can be claimed.
