On 1 September 2026, former cricketer Rashid Latif criticised moves by the Pakistan Cricket Board after it made sweeping changes following Pakistan’s heavy Test defeats against England, sending seven players home and replacing two coaches.
Latif said “those responsible for selecting the struggling team are now punishing the players.” He also questioned the disrespect shown to current and former cricketers, warning, “What we forget life is a circle.”
