Rishabh Pant was struck on the wrist during the India v Sri Lanka match, the Times of India reported on 2026-08-23.
Pant went for a pull shot but only gloved the ball and immediately appeared in discomfort, holding his wrist.
The physio came onto the field and applied an ice pack to prevent swelling; after a lengthy stoppage tape was briefly applied and removed, and the umpire checked on Pant before he walked off retired hurt.
