Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was left out of India’s playing XI as Shreyas Iyer made two changes for the fifth T20I against New Zealand on November 1, 2026.
The teenager has featured in only two matches in the series, having been brought into the side when Ishan Kishan was injured.
India had already secured an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series after winning the first three matches, before New Zealand won the fourth T20I by 87 runs.
