Tino Livramento misses Newcastle’s Premier League game with Hull City after fresh injury

Tino Livramento missed Newcastle United’s Premier League match against Hull City on 19 September 2026 after suffering a fresh injury in the build-up to the game, a further fitness setback for head coach Matthias Jaissle.

Newcastle were already contending with a depleted squad, with Dan Burn, Joelinton, Will Osula, Anthony Elanga, Nico Gonzalez, Jacob Ramsey and Amar Dedic sidelined, leaving fans to expect a patched-up lineup. The 23-year-old full-back has been consistently injured since arriving at Tyneside and this latest issue represents his eighth injury since joining the Magpies in 2023.

With Amar Dedic out due to an injury, Livramento had been expected to start at right-back at St James’ Park this afternoon, but he developed a fresh ailment in training at the end of last week that kept him out and forced Lewis Miley to step in at right-back.

He had spent the summer rehabilitating from a calf injury and undergoing minor surgery that forced him to miss England’s World Cup campaign in June, and had only recently recovered from a summer thigh injury that denied him his place in the World Cup. The timing of the new problem is a further blow because he had just returned to the training grounds.

The ex-Chelsea youth had returned to match action against AFC Bournemouth and increased his minutes against Millwall and Leeds before the latest setback, but recurring injuries have disrupted his availability for the club.

It has not been confirmed yet how long he will be out. He was picked up for the England squad on Friday.
