Villarreal v PSG: Pre-match updates and confirmed lineups for UEFA Champions League 2026-27 fourth league-phase match

Villarreal and Paris Saint-Germain will meet at the Estadio de la Cerámica on 3 November 2026 in their fourth league-phase contest of the UEFA Champions League 2026-27. Villarreal have recorded only one win in this season's European campaign, while PSG arrive unbeaten in the competition after three successive victories.
Villarreal, managed by Inigo Perez, have produced inconsistent results in the group so far: they lost their opening game to Dortmund, recovered to beat Napoli, and were outplayed by Liverpool in their most recent Champions League fixture. Hosting PSG will be a challenging assignment for the Yellow Submarine and the side must prevent the visitors from creating multiple clear chances on goal.
PSG have begun the Champions League campaign with three consecutive wins and most recently defeated FC Barcelona 4-2 in Europe. The Parisians are also reported to be performing well in domestic competitions, and despite travelling away from home they arrive with confidence and the objective of extending their winning run to four in the tournament.
Villarreal will look to 27-year-old Canadian Tajon Buchanan to influence the midfield and contribute in the final third as they seek a positive result at home. Buchanan's role is presented as a key area for Villarreal to control possession and generate attacking opportunities against PSG.
Mika Godts has now scored a goal in both of the last two games for Paris Saint-Germain and will aim to carry that form into the Champions League. Deployed on the left once again, the 21-year-old is expected to use his pace and ability to cut in to challenge Villarreal’s defence.
The two sides meet in Villarreal’s upcoming fixture with PSG aiming to make it four straight wins in the Champions League.
