WWE Money in the Bank: All winners and key facts

WWE Money in the Bank, created by Chris Jericho in 2005, is a multi-competitor ladder match in which a briefcase containing a championship contract is suspended above the ring. The holder of that briefcase earns the right to challenge for any WWE championship.
The bout is built on a ladder-and-briefcase concept in which multiple wrestlers climb a ladder to retrieve the contract hung atop the ring. The winner gains an opportunity to challenge for any championship of the company, anywhere, anytime, unless a referee is around. WWE introduced a women's Money in the Bank match in 2017, and that division has produced six winners.
Across both men's and women's editions, WWE has recorded 33 Money in the Bank winners. Some of those winners cashed in successfully and became champions. Others attempted cash-ins that did not result in a title change.
Every women's wrestler who won the MITB contract was crowned champion by cash-in. However, Asuka was granted the Raw Women’s Championship directly without cashing in the contract.
The MITB contract was cashed in mostly on the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The contract was also cashed in mostly against Charlotte Flair.
