WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that Bronson Reed, who has been absent from WWE programming since early 2026 after suffering a severe distal biceps tear in his right arm during a triple threat match in February, is expected to return to WWE as a main event-level heel. The outlet added that Reed is expected back "before long."

Reed’s injury occurred in February and left him sidelined from WWE television; there remains no firm timetable for his return. A source in WWE’s merchandising department told the outlet the company plans for Reed to return as a prominent main event-level heel. That same source said the promotion intends to continue elevating Reed up the card once he is back. WrestleVotes repeated the report that Reed is set to be pushed higher in the roster hierarchy upon his return.

WrestleVotes also reported that WWE considered featuring a Lil Yachty concert on the upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event and promoting it as one of the show’s primary attractions, but the concept was dropped after negative reception to segments on the most recent Saturday Night’s Main Event. The September 6 edition of Sunday Night’s Main Event will air live from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. WrestleVotes noted this will be the first time the Saturday Night’s Main Event-branded show takes place on a Sunday. The date for that slot had been originally allocated to Money in the Bank in New Orleans before the premium live event was moved.

A Fanatics source told WrestleVotes that Solo Sikoa’s merchandise sales over the past month, driven in part by a newly released Funko Pop, have outperformed expectations. WWE is preparing new "Pew Pew" merchandise for release over the coming weeks for both online and in-arena sales, the report said. The outlet linked the stronger-than-expected performance directly to recent product releases for Sikoa.

WrestleVotes reported that AAA’s TripleMania 34 had initially been scheduled as a one-night event on Saturday, September 12. The decision to expand TripleMania into a two-night event was attributed to AAA wanting to be in Las Vegas the night before the Zuffa Boxing event to be present for network executives and potential partners who would already be in the city. The change in format was framed as a strategic opportunity to showcase AAA in Las Vegas on that specific timing.

The upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and will be WWE’s first-ever Sunday Night’s Main Event. Other developments noted by WrestleVotes include Reed’s planned push upon return, Solo Sikoa’s stronger recent merchandise sales, and AAA’s conversion of TripleMania 34 into a two-night event.
