India’s athletes will contest multiple medal events at the Asian Games 2026 on October 2 (Day 13), with competitions scheduled at Okazaki Central Park Archery Field, Izu Velodrome, Nagoya City Exhibition Hall, Nagoya City Gymnasium and the Gifu Gifu Kakamigahara Stadium.

The programme follows an intense Day 12 that was headlined by hockey and cricket knockouts and compound archery battles, and Day 13 features three boxing gold-medal bouts, the women’s hockey final, recurve team archery semis and medal matches, track cycling medal races and freestyle wrestling across the day.

Recurve team archery reaches its medal phase at the Okazaki Central Park Archery Field, where India fields sides in all three team knockout brackets; the women’s recurve team meet hosts China in a semifinal at 5:55 AM IST followed by the bronze and gold medal matches, the mixed team face Japan in a semifinal at 8:20 AM IST, and the men’s recurve team take on Iran at 10:55 AM IST for a place in the title match.

Track cycling medal action at the Izu Velodrome begins from 6:30 AM IST, with the Men’s Madison Final featuring Harshveer Singh Sekhon and Vishavjeet Singh contesting sprint points across 200 laps; Harshita Jakhar starts the Women’s Omnium with the scratch race, and Ronaldo Singh Laitonjam alongside David Beckham Elkatohchoongo target progression through the Men’s Keirin heats toward the afternoon finals.

Freestyle wrestling opens at the Nagoya City Exhibition Hall from 7:08 AM IST, running through qualification, repechage and evening medal bouts; Dipanshi faces Olympic champion Yui Susaki in the women’s 50kg round of 16, Priya Malik meets Kyrgyzstan’s Medet Kyzy in the 76kg category, Sujeet Kalkal (65kg) faces Afghanistan’s Sayed Omar Zazai and Rajat Ruhal (125kg) takes on Kazakhstan’s Yedige Kassimbek.

White-water racing in canoe slalom starts at 7:30 AM IST with individual kayak cross races for Shikha Chauhan in the women’s event and Hitesh Kewat in the men’s event. India’s boxing gold-medal programme at the Nagoya City Gymnasium begins at 10:00 AM IST with the Women’s 75kg Final, where Tokyo Olympic bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain meets China’s Bao Ziyi and is assured at least a silver medal; the Women’s 65kg Gold Medal Match between Parveen Hooda and Chinese Taipei’s Chen Nien-chin is scheduled for 2:15 PM IST, while Ankush contests the light‑heavyweight gold medal bout against South Korea’s Kim Minseong.

The Indian women’s hockey team play China in the Gold Medal Match at 3:30 PM IST at the Gifu Gifu Kakamigahara Stadium. The winner of that match will secure direct qualification for the LA 2028 Olympics.
