IND vs SL Asian Games 2026 semifinal to be televised on Sony Sports Network in India
India will face Sri Lanka in the second semifinal of the Asian Games 2026 at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin on Thursday, October 1, with a scheduled start time of 10 AM IST.
Both teams advanced to this stage after finishing in the top four at the previous edition, where India won the gold medal; they had been due to play their first matches in the quarterfinal round but all four knockout fixtures were washed out, and India and Sri Lanka progressed to the semifinals based on T20I rankings.
Television coverage in India will be provided by the Sony Sports Network, with the Hindi-language telecast available on Sony Sports Ten 3.
The match will also be streamed on the Sony LIV app and website for viewers willing to pay a nominal fee.
Team preparations differ: Shreyas Iyer and co. faced Japan a week earlier under similar conditions at Nisshin, while Sri Lanka have not played in those conditions during the tournament, a factor noted in previews; on paper, India are regarded as strong and will seek to continue their domination.
