India names 15-member wrestling squad for Asian Games 2026; competition runs Sept 30-Oct 3

India has named a 15-member wrestling squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, with the wrestling competition scheduled from September 30 to October 3.

The wrestling programme falls in the closing phase of the Games and will run across four days from September 30 to October 3 alongside judo, archery, boxing and other combat and precision sports. India’s delegation comprises six women and nine men, and the team will be led by Olympic bronze medallist Aman Sehrawat and 2022 silver medallist Deepak Punia.

India’s women’s entries are Dipanshi (50kg) and Antim Panghal (53kg). They also include Manisha Bhanwala (57kg), Mansi Ahlawat (62kg) and Nisha Dahiya (68kg). The women’s squad is completed by Priya Malik (76kg).

The men’s freestyle selections are Aman Sehrawat (freestyle 57kg), Sujeet Kalkal (freestyle 65kg), Sagar Jaglan (freestyle 74kg), Deepak Punia (freestyle 97kg) and Rajat Ruhal (freestyle 125kg). Greco-Roman picks are Sumit Dalal (Greco-Roman 60kg), Aman (Greco-Roman 77kg), Sunil Kumar (Greco-Roman 87kg) and Nitesh Kumar (Greco-Roman 97kg). The men’s group spans both freestyle and Greco-Roman categories.

Olympic bronze medallist Aman Sehrawat is confirmed as part of the squad. He will compete in the men’s freestyle 57kg category. Deepak Punia is listed as the 2022 silver medallist.

Wrestling at the Asian Games 2026 will be live-streamed online in India on the SonyLIV app and website. The television broadcast will take place on the Sony Sports Network channels.
