Irfan Pathan criticised the decision to play Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the recent T20I series against New Zealand, calling the selection "a mistake".
Pathan said Kumar struggled to perform in the matches, referenced "180 runs, 1 wicket", and said the choice prevented young bowlers from gaining valuable experience in international cricket, emphasizing that selectors need to provide opportunities for emerging fast bowlers for their development, especially in challenging playing conditions.
