John Cena not listed for WWE Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh; future appearances scheduled
John Cena will not appear at WWE Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 7, 2026, as of November 6 he has not been announced for the event and his published WWE appearance schedule does not include the November 7 show.
On the November 2 episode of Monday Night Raw Cena unveiled the inaugural John Cena Classic and confirmed he remains involved with the Stamford-based promotion; he announced two participants for the tournament and said more names would be added at upcoming events. He followed that Raw appearance with a spot on the special November 4 edition of NXT.
Cena retired from wrestling in December 2025, and WWE has not listed any match or segment for him on the Crown Jewel card; his recent television stops have been reported as part of a promotional run rather than a return to in-ring competition. No match or on-screen role for Cena at the premium live event has been announced by the company.
There remain reasons WWE could still use Cena at Crown Jewel for promotional purposes: his involvement with the John Cena Classic offers an opportunity to publicize the tournament, explain its concept to wider audiences and build anticipation for the December 14 event. The promotion could opt for a brief live appearance or a video message to link the Riyadh audience to the upcoming competition.
WWE has officially announced four matches for Crown Jewel 2026: Roman Reigns will face Undisputed Champion Sami Zayn in a Champion vs. Champion contest for the men’s Crown Jewel Championship; Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will take on Women’s Champion Chelsea Green in the corresponding women’s contest; Cody Rhodes will meet Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match; and World Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker and Austin Theory will defend their titles against Penta and Je’Von Evans. Those confirmed matches involve ten Superstars and do not include Cena among the advertised participants.
Other unconfirmed surprise appearances named as possibilities for the show include Stephanie Vaquer, Jacob Fatu and Oba Femi, but WWE has not added any of those names to the official Crown Jewel lineup. The promotion has not announced additional participants beyond the four confirmed matches.
WWE has confirmed further dates for Cena after Crown Jewel: he is scheduled to appear on the November 13 episode of SmackDown, the November 16 edition of Raw and at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 28; the John Cena Classic is set for December 14.
